TABLEAU ZURICH ist ein neuer Ort für visuelle Kunst im öffentlichen Raum. Er befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe von Bellevue, Bahnhof Stadelhofen und Kunsthaus Zürich. Es werden pro Jahr zwei Ausstellungen gezeigt, welche 365 Tage im Jahr frei zugänglich sind.

Die zweite Ausstellung von TABLEAU zeigt neue Werke des Schweizer Künstlers Beni Bischof. Zu sehen sind Dia­gramme, welche sein ­Leben auf überraschende und ironische Art und Weise ­reflektieren. ­Bischof (1976) lebt und arbeitet in St. Gallen.

ENGLISH

TABLEAU ZURICH is a new place for visual art in a public area. It is located in the immediate proximity of Bellvue, Stadelhofen train station and Kunsthaus Zurich. There will be two exhibitions per annum, which will be open to the public 365 days a year.

The second exhibition by TABLEAU shows new works by Swiss artist Beni Bischof. On display are diagrams that reflect his life in a surprising and ironic way. Bischof (1976) lives and works in St. Gallen.

ÜBER DEN KÜNSTLER

Bischofs Werk ist von intuitiven Gesten, zynischem Humor und offensichtlichem Hang zum Chaos geprägt und bewegt sich überwiegend innerhalb der klassischen Kunstgattungen Malerei, Skulptur und Zeichnung. Inhaltlich lässt sich der junge St. Galler ­Künstler nicht auf ein Thema reduzieren.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bischof’s work is ­characterised through its cynical humour and apparent inclination to chaos. He moves mainly inside the classical genres of painting, sculpture and drawing. In terms of content, the young artist from St. Gallen cannot be reduced to any specific topic.
